Every Sunday morning, the same man stands in the same spot on the street corner near our church. He holds a sign asking for help.
We haven’t yet learned his name or his story, but we’ve started taking a breakfast taco to him every Sunday morning.
Last week, our church held a “reverse offering”. Instead of asking for donations to pay the mortgage and support our community programs, the church gave every single person in the audience a small amount of cash to choose how to help the community.
Titus and I talked about it. He wanted to use our five dollars to buy peanut butter and jelly sandwich supplies for our Sunday morning breakfast taco buddy.
Here’s hoping he doesn’t have a nut allergy.
